Open letter to Jabulani Sibanda
I FIND it very disturbing to have to communicate with you my brother, Jabulani, through an online publication but I have no option since you are now living with your captors.
How does it feel to pretend to be a leading supporter of someone who is out to destroy your life?
Remember how soon after the ‘mysterious’ death of your predecessor, Cain Nkala, you almost lost your life and confided in some of us that it was none other than Robert Mugabe who had planned your death. Have you forgotten how you were vilified after the Tsholotsho saga?
After listening to your interview on SAFM last week, I was not sure if you are still the same honest Christian that I have always known you to be. What happened to those powerful sermons that you used to preach? I could not believe my ears when I heard you claim that MDC can not claim that Tsvangirai won outright because he got only 50.3 percent instead of the 51 stipulated in the Electoral Act.
You have already made false claims that you are a war veteran. I am surprised that you now claim to be an educated person who understands such laws as the Zimbabwean Electoral Act. I have a feeling that the purpose of that interview was to expose your ignorance and you unfortunately fell for it hook, line and sinker.
As a Seventh Day Adventist, I am sure you can now tell that Zanu-PF is an embodiment of evil. I am very sure all Christians who are true followers of Christ did not vote for Zanu-PF in the past elections. I am disappointed that you are aligning with false prophets like Abel Kunonga and Obadiah Musindo in supporting the continued abuse of our human rights.
Let me assure you my brother that I will be there to comfort you on that day that Zanu-PF gets rid of you after they have finished using you like a condom. I am, however, appealing to you to come back to your senses and leave our oppressors before it is too late. I am very sure if our father was alive, you would not have fallen this low. Our family still loves you and pray that Mugabe and his people do not destroy your life.
From your loving brother,
Thabisa Sibanda
